DISCLAIMER
The following is a listing of commercially available as well as free (make it yourself) restoration devices. Any purchase or use of these items is at the individual's discretion. Neither the author of the Joy of Uncircumcising nor NORM assume any responsibility for their use. All inquiries regarding use, ordering or price should be directed to the individual manufacturer.
Think carefully and make an informed evaluation before buying any devices. Often only one weighted or elastic stretching device is necessary to complete the restoration process. Though many men find one device more comfortable or easy to use, and some men find different devices useful at different stages of restoration, this varies from man to man. Do not be persuaded by claims of quicker results or a longer penis; these claims are not substantiated by scientific research. Do keep records and receipts!
Scientific tissue expansion research indicates that in order to grow new tissue one must keep the tissue under tension for consistent periods of time (5-15 hours a day for 5-7days a week). To complete foreskin restoration this must be done for a period that varies from several months to several years. When not wearing a device, keep the skin forward over the glans by a ring tape or similar means.
Some of the information presented here is taken from chapter 18 and the resource section of The Joy of Uncircumcising, 2nd edition, with permission of the author.
This page is updated to reflect the availability of newer devices and techniques as they become available, be sure to check back. You can click here for links to other web sites that have additional restoration information and methods.

Low cost, Non-commercial devices
Tape
Though not a device in itself a good quality tape is essential to many restoration methods. Various tapes and how to remove tape are explained on our FAQ page.
The T-Tape Method
The T-Tape is one of the most popular methods. The Restore Yourself Kit at www.restoreyourself.com provides a basic kit and instructions to get started.
Homemade Silicon Tugger
A tapeless tugger similar to the Tug Ahoy listed in the commercial devices. Click here to download the PDF file (1.5 MB).
WARNING: BE SURE TO BUY SILICON CAULK THAT IS FOR AQUARIUMS (safe for fish), THIS IS THE ONLY KIND THAT DOES NOT HAVE ADDED CHEMICALS, AND THE ONLY KIND THAT WILL NOT HURT YOUR SKIN.
Another Homemade Tugger
This is very low cost tapeless tugger, again similar to the Tug Ahoy. This one can be viewed at: www.herpiphile.com/restore.html
O-rings
O-rings, such as the black rubber ones found at the hardware or automotive store can be used to hold the foreskin forward. This method generally produces fairly slow growth, however multiple o-ring can speed the process.
See http://homepage.mac.com/dfleary/ for more information. (If your web browser asks you to download Japanese text support you may hit the cancel button, there is no Japanese text.)
You can also order a kit from Cut/Uncut (tm) by going to their web site by clicking here.
Baby Bottle Nipple
Various sizes of baby bottle nipples can be used as "keepers" to keep the skin forward of the glans when not actively restoring.. Buy the clear silicone ones. Usually the rim is trimmed off as well as the nipple so that one can pee through the device.
Friendly Plastic
There is a product now on the market which allows the individual to design and fashion his own device with no other tools or know-how than hot water and his own two hands. The product's name is Friendly Plastic. It is available in most art and stationery stores. It comes in both sheet and pellet form; the pellets are much simpler to work with and are considerably less expensive.
Friendly Plastic is easy to work with. Place the pellets in a heat resistant, non-aluminum bowl (so that the plastic will not stick) and pour near boiling water over the pellets. Wait for about a minute and pour the water off. You can then shape an object of your design until the plastic cools. This product can be remelted as often as needed, so there is ample opportunity for practice.
Obviously, a cone made of Friendly Plastic is rigid and must be fitted and worn with care. All edges and surfaces must be smooth.
"Musical" and Sockets Devices
The mouthpieces of a number of the larger brass musical instruments are remarkably well suited for modification to be worn comfortably within the developing foreskin. Tuba, trombone, and Sousaphone are among the mouthpieces suggested. The men who have sent in suggestions for using such a mouthpiece all modified them by grinding away part of the stem, some of the flare of the mouth orifice, or some other unwanted feature. In each case, the design of the original mouthpiece allows for urination while wearing the device. Typically, either a weight or elastic tension is attached to the protruding stem of the device once it is taped in place within the foreskin.
People have also used metal sockets in a similar fashion, adding weight can be accomplished by adding extension pieces to the socket.
Care must be taken with either of these methods that the skin that is taped to the outside of the mouthpiece or socket does not get pinched between the device and some outside hard object like a table or whatever else you may accidentally run into during the day. Severe pain and possibly injury could result.
Commercially Produced Devices
From the earliest days of the modern-day restoration movement, numbers of men have expressed the desire for ready-made devices and products which do not require design or assembly skills. Some of these devices are described below.
Foreballs
Foreballs are two stainless steel bearings joined by a short rod. The individual bearings weigh as follows:
1" = 2.4 oz
1" = 3.5 oz
1 ¼" = 4.6 oz
1 ½ = 7.9 oz
The ¼ by ¾ inch rod and the welding add some to the overall weight. The standard FOREBALLS are about 7.5 oz. All sets are made by special order only when the requested size balls are available. FOREBALLS need some loose skin or a foreskin in which to insert the smaller ball and tape the tissue between them, and also must be removed to urinate.
Price and Ordering Information:
FOREBALLS are $100.00 a set, plus postage of $5.00. (International orders require special handling and may cost more.) Payment can be made when the sets are ready for shipment. Allow for bank clearance of checks before shipping can proceed. Specify U.S. Postal Service or United Parcel Service.

Tugger/PUD (Penile Uncircumcising Device)
American Bodycrafters, Inc., has developed an uncircumcising device of high-quality stainless steel. It has a funnel-shaped chamber which fits over the glans and is worn inside the developing foreskin and a larger, cylinder-shaped body which extends beyond the penis to provide the necessary weight. The device is available in a range of 'cup' sizes for the glans and a variety of overall weights ranging from 10-22 ounces. (NORM recommends that weights above 10-12 ounces should only be worn after some experience with the device). The device is drilled with a generous channel from the bottom of the glans cup out through the tip, so urination through the device is quite easy for most men.
The advantages of this device are:
the high quality of the material,
the narrow 'neck' which minimizes lateral expansion, and
the variety of sizes and weights to meet individual requirements.
The disadvantages are:
It must be applied and removed daily.
It is bulky when added to the length of the penis. The device can be quite visible beneath many styles of clothing, and can hit vulnerable anatomical structures when one moves too quickly or is running.

RECAP
There are four RECAP products:
The RECAP-EZ is the only restoration product which provides consistent bi-directional tension and helps restrain loose scrotal skin. Length and circumference measurements of the erect penis are necessary. $75.00
The RECAP-DTL ( down the leg ) is the most practical and effective RECAP product for daily use - easily concealed and comfortable. Measurement of the circumference of the leg ( just below the knee ) is necessary. $85.00
The RECAP-Softy is fitted with the same cap and ring attachment as the DTL, but is designed to be used with a suspender-type tension strap. The strap can be routed up, down, and around the torso in a variety of ways. The Softy can even be worn with shorts. No measurements necessary. $50.00
The RECAP-Combo is a combination of the DTL and the Softy. One cap and ring attachment, one DTL attachment, and one suspender-type tension strap are provided. The Combo provides versatility that you will appreciate. Measurement of the leg ( Just below the knee ) is necessary. $100.00
Payment Options: Cash, check, money order, or online via PayPal are acceptable.
Shipping and Handling: Please add $5.00 for shipments in the USA . Add
$10.00 for most international shipments. All shipments will be via USPS
Priority Mail, usually within one week after receipt of payment.

R2K
The R2K consists of a stainless steel bell that fits over the glans or head of the penis. A stainless tube with a steel slider screws into the bell. The steel slider has a small thumb screw which can be tightened or loosened. www.4restore.com
Second Skin (tm) Foreskin Restoration Cones
These semi-soft cones come in a set of three, in graduated sizes. They are drilled so that they may be worn continuously and urinated through. Some men prefer to wear these cones entirely within the foreskin and to hold them in place with a relatively loose tape ring, while others prefer to tape the skin directly to the cone at whatever point on the cone is most comfortable. The one disadvantage of these cones is that they are currently manufactured with a one-size-fits-all chamber for the glans. As a result, some men find the fit 'just right' while others have been unable to use the cones because the chamber does not fit their glans comfortably. Click here for more information.
Tug Ahoy
A tapeless tugging device. For details go to: www.tugahoy.com
Your-Skin Restoration Cone
Two products, one similar to o-rings and the other similar to the Tug-Ahoy, both tapeless and low cost. Visit his site at www.TLCTugger.com
ManHood
While not a device than will restore your foreskin the ManHood is an undergarment that acts as a foreskin substitute. Visit www.manhood.mb.ca for more info on this product
What Kind of Tape is the Best to Use?
The tape you use needs to be the best for you. Because of the variety of skin types, some tape may not suit you and your skin. It is acknowledged that the tissue from the edge of the tape to the body will be stretched and usually will become red. Especially on the dorsal side because of the stretching and the rubbing on your clothing. This redness usually goes away when you have your 'rest' period from tensioning each night.
Except for a few tapes, Tegaderm, Rejuveness, Elastoplast, which are elastic, most other tapes are 'fixed' tapes, that is they do not allow the tissue under them to stretch.
Micropore, and several other tapes can be ordered from Grogan's healthcare at a discount if you mention "restoration" in the special comments section of the order form. Rejuveness can be ordered online and they also offer a discount on an order of 4 rolls if you mention that you are restoring.
A lot of men usually use Micropore which is a paper tape to apply extension devices. One disadvantage is that paper tape does not have much tensile strength and must be doubled at least to hold devices. It is reasonably easy to remove. If it is used for a retainer it will not be too satisfactory as it will roll up on itself and make a narrow 'string' and 'bite' into the skin causing pain.
Fabric tapes like J&J Waterproof have the ability to generally retain their shape, especially the width, and are good for retainers, but will leave a residue.
If you are having trouble removing the tape try some of the following techniques:
1. Have a tab folded back if you are making a tape ring, this will easily allow you to remove the tape.
2. Slowly pull the skin away from the tape with your thumb.
3. Soak the tape on your penis in warm water until it's soaked. Then wait a few minutes and remove the tape
4. Rub oil on and into the tape. (Hand lotion, olive oil, aloe vera, vitamin E).
5. Some men have found it helpful to apply some oil to the skin before applying the tape, wiping off the excess with a dry cloth.
6. There are two products that will remove tape residue are Goo Gone and Di-Solve-It. After using, you need to wash twith soap and water. Do not use these without testing a small amount on your skin first to see if you are sensitive to them
