Hello from cold snowy Wisconsin. After a mild winter we are getting some
cold weather - about what it was when you were here last year. Not too
cold.

춥고 눈 내리는 위스콘신에서. 네가 보냈던 작년 겨울에 대해 얘기하자면

온화한 겨울이 지나면 이곳은 날씨가 점점 추워져. 물론 아주 춥진 않았지.

Did you have a nice vacation from school? Back to the day to day schedule
now. Jack has done all he can at the Community College in Rice Lake and
will transfer to the University of Wisconsin in Superior next fall.
Superior is on Lake Superior about 150 miles north of Chetek.

넌 즐거운 겨울 방학을 보냈니? 요즈음 매일매일의 생활을 짚어보자면

Jack은 Ricc호의 Community College의 모든 수업을 끝내고 가을에 Superior

에 있는 Wisconsin대학으로 편입할꺼래.  Superior는 대략 150마일 정도

떨어져있는 Chetek의 북부의 Lake Superior에 있어.

Gabby is half way through the Chemotherapy for the cancer. It has to be
hard but she remains cheerful. She looks a little tired and has been
getting some horrible headaches but the cancer is going away. Rob has an
offer to go to a Methodist University in Atlanta, Georgia to study for his
Phd (Doctor of Philosophy). When he finishes he could become a University
professor. He could spend most of his time getting paid for thinking deep
thoughts.

Gabby는 지금 한창 화학요법을 통한 암치료 중이야. 굉장히 힘들텐데도

여전히 씩씩해. 조금 피곤해 보이기도 하고 때때로 지독한 두통으로 힘

들었지만 암세포가 점점 작아지고 있어. Rob은 Atlanta의 Methodist 대학

입학 허가를 받았고, Georgia는 박사학위를 준비중이지. 그가 학위를 마치

게되면 아마도 대학 교수님이 되겠지. 진지한 생각으로 대부분의 시간을

보내는 것만으로 먹고 살수있게될꺼야.

We have heard a lot of music this weekend. On Friday night, we went to St
Paul to a big theater and watched "Les Miserabe" a musical (really an
opera) about the French Revolution. Last night we went to an old ornate
theater and listened to a singer/guitar player. He plays mostly jazz or the
blues. These are 2 American types of music that you have probably heard a
little.

우린 주말에 여러가지 음악을 들었더. 금요일 밤에는 세인트 폴에 있는

커다란 공연장에가서 프랑스 혁명에 관한 뮤지컬 "Les Miserabe"를 봤지.

지난 밤에는 오래되고 고풍스런 무대에서 가수와 기타리스트의 음악을

듣기도했어. 거의 재즈나 블루스 같은 음악을 연주하더라. 아마도 내가

가끔 들어봤을 미국식의 음악중 2개라 할수 있지.
