 Respects to the Ice man

Hi Ice Man. I’m a college student in Seoul Korea of 2008. I have sympathy towards your death. It breaks my heart to realize that you are died a lonely death because you were separated from your family and acquaintance when you died. But I can tell you your death was not in vain. Because you died in the chilly mountains, you have been preserved very similarly to the former condition. So your body and your belongings such as bronze axe, bear skin hat and clothing that you had with you have provided us lots of information which concerns Bronze Age, the age you lived in. I would also like to inform you that it was very meaningful to us that you were hunting or searching for metal ores when you died. It was nothing like seeing artifacts and legacy graved in stone but seeing the real scene of the past. Furthermore, the fact that you died of a disease rather than of hunger or coldness allows us to research what kind of diseases existed in the past. Therefore, although your death in the mountains was very unfortunate, l would like to thank you for being a messenger who guided us to the past. You have been a great help in the study of early mankind. Though you may have passed from one’s mind in the past, you are now a living messenger to us. So you should consider yourself lucky to have done such a large roll in the future and forget about the misery of the past.
