Spence suffered a loss in his last start on the road against the Angels on the 26th, allowing six runs in 5.1 innings, including a grand slam. However, he's pitched well in his last two home games, going at least six innings and allowing two runs or fewer, and he has allowed fewer home runs at home, raising expectations for this game. Oakland's offense returned to its struggling ways, with Zack Gelof's solo homer off Brendan Part in Monday's game being the lone score. With their current hitting, bouncing back at home seems difficult. LA Angels

The Angels' lineup, which scored six runs, including two homers, by capitalizing on Detroit's bullpen in Monday's game, showed impressive concentration by rallying for five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. This team demonstrates its identity as a power-hitting team. The bullpen, which allowed just one run in 4.1 innings, has been stable recently.

Commentary

Playing at home certainly favors Spence. However, Oakland's lineup has struggled against right-handed pitchers and will likely have a tough time against Jose Soriano. Moreover, once Oakland's bullpen falters, it's difficult to recover, while the Angels' bullpen has been performing effectively. Pitching advantage goes to the LA Angels, making them closer to victory.
