Moon Dong-ju (4 wins, 6 losses, 6.26 ERA) will take the mound to prevent a losing streak. In his comeback game on the 12th against LG at home, Moon Dong-ju showed a strong performance, pitching 7 innings with 8 hits and no runs, securing a win and displaying dominance over LG. This will be his first start against KIA this year, but considering his struggles against them last year, it's difficult to set high expectations. In the previous game, Hanwha's lineup only managed to score 3 runs, including a solo home run by Chae Eun-sung against Shin Min-hyuk and Kim Jae-yeol, out of 15 runners. A double play by Ahn Chi-hong with bases loaded and one out in the 9th inning exemplifies the team's reality. The bullpen worked hard to shut out the opposing team for 3 innings.
KIA
Kim Do-hyun (1 win, 3 losses, 5.90 ERA) will make his first start of the season. He was chosen to fill in for Yoon Young-chul after pitching 1 scoreless inning in a home game against SSG on the 14th. Although he has a zero ERA against Hanwha this season, the variables will be the Daejeon venue and the fact that he's starting. In the previous game, KIA's lineup scored 10 runs, including a game-tying solo home run by Choi Won-jun, against Samsung's pitchers, continuing their trend of exploding offensively against second-place teams. However, away games against lower-ranked teams might be a weak point. It's fortunate that the bullpen, which held out for 6 innings with 5 hits and 1 run, won without using Jang Hyun-sik and Jeon Sang-hyun.

Moon Dong-ju maintains his form for up to 2-3 games after returning to the first team. Despite inconsistencies against KIA, a Quality Start (QS) can be expected. On the other hand, Kim Do-hyun struggles as a pitcher, especially under pressure. KIA will be hoping for rain. Hanwha, with a stronger starting pitcher, is closer to victory.
